My name is Becky and I am a student in London studying medicine. In september of 2015 I will have just started my penultimate year of study but will also be swimming the channel between dover and Calais!

This is a massive challenge, less people have successfully swum the channel then have climbed everest! Most people think I am crazy to attempt it but I am doing this swim in aid of two wonderful charities.......

Macmillan Cancer Support is a national charity who provide practical, medical and financial support for people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their loved ones.

Jeremiah's Journey is a charity based in plymouth, where I am from. They offer support to bereaved children and their families in plymouth and the surrounding area by offering short term therapeutic group programmes.

Both of these charities are very close to my heart, macmillan supported my grandmother when she had cancer and jeremiah's journey offered me support after the sudden death of a very close friend. Both of these charities rely on donations in order to do what they do and so any donations you could give would make a huge difference to them and also give me strength throughout this massive challenge!

Thank you for visiting!
